Approximately 50 years
ago, Ralph Colin Milton founded the company
and then in 1971 he was joined by his brother-in-law,
the late Harold Gregory forming a limited
company.
The majority of the works undertaken were
for the local authority and the PSA. Following
the death of Harold Gregory in 1993, Ralph
Colin Milton chose to retire and hand the
reigns over to Anne Back, Peter Cole and
Paul Richards who carried on in the same
format for a few years more.
In recent years the company has expanded
into the commercial and private sectors,
particularly specialising in extensions
and the refurbishment of properties together
with existing Ministry of Defence works.
During 2002, Paul Richards left the company
to set up his own management facility in
the Torbay area and more recently Peter
Cole chose to purchase properties in France
with a mind to renovation, leaving Anne
Back as the sole Managing Director.
We Carry our own long established tradesmen in the form of bricklayers, carpenters, plasterers, plumbers, painters and labourers. We also carry our own Health and Safety Officer to maintain safe working practices.
During the last 2 years we have been fortunate
enough to build a substantial extension
for Puffins (children's day care) and to
refurbish a large kitchen (catering for
400 persons) plus refurbishing the Vice
Chancellor's suite, both at Exeter University.
Our objectives for the future are to maintain a moderate increase in the size of the company and to increase our existing client base. |
